Before we arrive:
- Drain the hot tub completely. Gravity drain takes 2–4 hours; a submersible pump does it in about 15 minutes.
- Disconnect the power. If yours is hardwired (240V), have a licensed electrician disconnect it before move day.
On move day:
- Crew arrives with the gear specific to your job, hot tub sled or dolly, padding, straps
- Path reassessed: we walk the route from pad to truck one more time
- Tub wrapped in protective coverings
- Loaded onto the truck and secured
- Transported and positioned exactly where you want it at the destination
What's yours to handle after we leave: electrical reconnection and refilling. We'll tell you what to expect so you can have an electrician lined up.
Most hot tub moves in Winnipeg take 3 to 5 hours from our arrival to the tub sitting in its new spot.
Winter moves (-25°C and below)
Winnipeg winters hit -25°C. That changes things. If you're moving a hot tub in January or February, the tub needs to be fully drained before transport, any residual water can freeze and crack the plumbing. We move year-round and we plan for cold-weather conditions, including ice on walkways and decks.
Backyard access and narrow gates
Many homes in St. James, Transcona, St. Vital, and Charleswood have side gates that are 36 to 42 inches wide. Standard hot tubs are 84 to 96 inches on the long side. That means the tub comes out on its side, which is normal with proper equipment, but it has to be accounted for before move day.
New developments and fresh landscaping
Newer developments in Waverley West and South Pointe often have fresh landscaping around the yard. We're careful about what we drive equipment over and where we place things during the move.

A smooth move starts with a prepared hot tub. Here's what we need from you before our crew shows up:
- Drain the tub fully. Gravity drain takes 2 to 4 hours. A submersible pump cuts that to about 15 minutes. Either works — just make sure it's completely empty.
- Disconnect the power. Plug-in 120V tubs can be unplugged by the homeowner. If yours is hardwired at 240V, you'll need a licensed electrician to disconnect it before we arrive.
- Clear the path. Remove patio furniture, planters, and any other items between the tub and the gate or driveway.
- Check your gate width. Let us know if your side gate is under 42 inches — we'll factor that into the plan during our on-site visit.
- Have the destination ready. Know where the tub is going and whether there are any access challenges at the new location.
