- Protective wrapping. Furniture is covered in moving blankets and pads for the entire stay, not just the truck ride. Wood corners are protected, upholstery is covered, glass tops get separated and wrapped.
- Itemized inventory. Every piece going into storage is logged and numbered. You get a copy of the list so you know exactly what's in our care.
- Climate-controlled facility. Temperature and humidity stay consistent all year, which matters for wood furniture, electronics, leather, artwork, and musical instruments.

Short-term storage with Legacy Moving means anything from a few days to a few months. We don't push you into a long contract. Storage follows your timeline, whether that's a week between closings or three months during a renovation. Call us and we'll match the arrangement to your dates.

Winter storage is where climate control earns its keep. Winnipeg's cold, dry winters can crack wood furniture and damage electronics in an unheated space. Our facility holds steady temperature and humidity year-round, so a January stay looks the same as a July one from your belongings' perspective.
Standard exclusions apply: hazardous materials, flammables, propane tanks, perishable food, and live plants. These aren't items insurance would cover anyway. Almost everything else in a typical Winnipeg home is fine. Furniture, boxes, appliances, artwork, electronics, and seasonal gear are all welcome.
You can, but you don't have to. Our team offers full and partial packing services, so we can bring supplies and pack your kitchen, closets, and fragile items before anything heads into storage. Ask about packing when you call for a free quote. It's often easier to bundle it.
Yes, with advance notice. Our facility isn't a self-serve locker, so we coordinate access during business hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm, Saturday 8am to 1pm. Call ahead so we can pull your items and have them ready for you. Last-minute requests are welcome too.
