Our quote covers the full job, from disassembly through final leveling. Here's what that includes:
- Full disassembly: We remove pockets, rails, felt, and slate in the correct sequence. Every bolt and screw is catalogued and stored so nothing gets lost.
- Protective wrapping: Slate pieces are wrapped in moving blankets with padding between them. Rails and wooden components get blanket protection to prevent scratches and dings.
- Careful loading and transport: Slates travel flat or upright depending on the table, always secured to prevent shifting.
- Reassembly at the destination: We put it back together the right way, done properly rather than rushed.
- Precision leveling: We level the slate using proper leveling equipment. A pool table that's even a fraction off plays noticeably different. We take the time to get it right.

Basements and narrow stairs
Most Winnipeg homes with a pool table have it in a finished basement. That means the table has to come up the stairs before it goes anywhere, and in older bungalows from the 1950s and 60s, those staircases are narrow. We've moved tables out of River Heights basements, Fort Garry rec rooms, and St. Vital homes where the only way out required disassembling the slate into three pieces and angling each one through a doorframe.

Access challenges get factored into the quote before the move, not after. When you call, we'll ask about the stairwell width, ceiling height, and any doorways that might be tight. If there's a tricky spot, we'd rather know ahead of time than figure it out on move day.
Winter moves and apartment buildings
Moving in winter? We bring components up and out wrapped, so they're protected during the brief time they're exposed to the cold before loading into the truck. If you're in an apartment or condo, we coordinate around elevator access and protect floors and walls throughout.
